Founder’s day celebrations 

 The 16th Founder’s Day  of the school was celebrated on 6th April 2016.   To commemorate the day of its inception, the 4th Inter-school Yogathon Championship was organized with immense fervor and gusto.  Yogathon was   an endeavour to motivate the students to enhance their physical and mental strength by connecting both to  nature. The initiative received enormous response and 21 renowned schools of Dwarka participated in this Championship.  More than 250 students from various schools   showcased their acumen and displayed many intricate asanas.

The proceedings of the day commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and invoking blessings from the Almighty. The School Principal Dr. (Mrs)Rajee N. Kumar accorded a warm welcome to the honorable judges of the event, Mr. Anil Mudgal, ( Gold medalist in Yoga) Delhi University Coach and International player and Mr. Pawan Kumar National player (Gold medalist in Yoga Championship, with a token of gratitude. In her address   the school principal motivated the students to integrate yoga in their régime  for a healthy life. 

  Trishna Summit: A students’ Conclave.

N K B P S Dwarka witnessed a unique amalgamation of talent, alacrity, joy and excellence at the Annual School Fest Trishna Summit: A Students’ conclave on 29thApril 2016. An Annual feature of the school calendar, the event has gained immense popularity amongst academicians and student fraternity for its unique feature of providing a platform to the students to showcase their innate talent, emphasizing the spirit of participation without the fear of losing or winning. The icon of Trishna, ‘Zorba -The Buddha’ whose feet are firmly rooted to ground yet whose hands can touch the stars, conveys that ‘If you can dream it, you can do it’.

The event which witnessed a presence of about 750 students from 35 schools of Dwarka and NCR commenced with the lighting of the auspicious lamp and invoking the blessings of the Almighty. Thereafter the Chief Guest of the occasion, , Brigadier P.N. Ananthanarayanan, Deputy Director General MGO Branch and a galaxy of luminaries includingDr. S.K. Bhattacharya, director of NKBPS group of schools , Mrs. SudhaAcharya, Principal ITL Public SchoolDwarka and Mrs. PriyankaBhatkoti , Principal Maxfort SchoolDwarka, were formally welcomed by school Principal, Dr (Mrs) Rajee N Kumar by according floral  felicitations and mementos. The observers of different events, noted academicians and specialists of various fields, were also greeted with floral felicitation. In his address to the participating students, Brigadier P.N. Ananthanarayanan applauded the efforts of the school in providing a platform to the students to display their talents. School Director, Dr S K Bhattacharya, exhorted the students to make the best use of the opportunities provided to them. Thereafter an enthralling welcome dance -Ganesh Vandana was performed by the young danseuses

A wide gamut of activities was a part of the extravagant event. Splendid performance was witnessed in Story Junction for class II , Visual Art-Traditional Rangoli Design using M-seal and waste materials for classes IV to VI,  Treasure Hunt- Brain Gym for classes  IX & X,Mind Sweeper for classes III to V, Math- O -Mania Quiz for classes  VI to VIII,Youth Forum-A Talk Show for classes VI to X,Hindi-Ras Mudra  for class VIII, Performing Arts- NukkadNatak for  classes VI to VIII,Literary Conclave- English Turncoat for classes IX &X, E-nnovation for classes XI-XII , Tech C-C++  Wizard  for XI & XII. The entire day was abuzz with multifarious activities garnered all praise and appreciation for theirunique concept.

The mega event concluded in the Guests of Honour,Shri. Kishan Meena , ACP Dwarka,  Mr. Anand Prakash,  ACP Dwarka and invited guesst  Mrs. Jayashree Navani, Vice Principal N K Bagrodia Global School . An electrifying dance performance based on Panchtatva presented by the students added a vibrant touch to the closing ceremony. The best performers of the various events were honored with certificates and prizes and the event concluded with a promise to return with more activities, elation and ecstasy in the forthcoming years.

Clean Fuel, Greener Earth

Students of classes VII and VIII attended the inaugural function of the Oil and Gas Conservation Fortnight. The event which was to spread awareness of the use of clean fuel was graced by Mr Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble minister of petroleum and gas. Students were briefed about ‘Clean Fuel, Greener Earth.’

I Can’t Breathe Campaign

The morning chill did not deter the students of N K Bagrodia Public School to display their enthusiasm in reducing vehicular pollution in the capital city. Students actively participated to promote the odd even formula as a part of the road rationing programme initiated by NDTV campaign called ‘ I can’t breathe campaign.’

Citizen Awakened Programme

The Citizen awakened Programme was initiated in the school as a step towards inculcating moral values and imbibing the spirit of universal brotherhood. The students presented a role play and PPT on the life of Swami Vivekananda in the august presence of a team of members from Rama Krishna Mission.
