A Peek in the Soul of Art and Literature

NK Bagrodia Public School, Dwarka, 11th November 2022: The ten-day Lit-Art Fest organised by the school started on 1st November and concluded successfully on 11 November 2022. This collage of literature, art, music, and dance celebrated the spirit of competition and the ethereal nature of art. During these ten days various inter house, inter class, and inter school competitions were held. The initiation of the ten-day long extravaganza was with the rangoli making competitions. The other competitions included inter house extempore, inter house poem competition, inter house Indo western Music Fusion, inter house debate competition, inter house Indo Western Solo Dance competitions, inter house Cosplay, inter class collage competitions, inter class French quiz, inter class Ramcharitmanas Chaupai, inter class poster on Dance forms of India.

 

An inter-school cosplay competition and Hindi Chaupai competition was held on the final day, where eighteen schools from all over Delhi displayed enthusiastic participation.

 

The Chief Guest of the event was Sahitya Academy Award winner and illustrious poet Shri Divik Ramesh. The competitions were judged by notable dignitaries Ms. Asha Kiran and Mr. Neeraj Kothiyal for the Chaupai along with Ms. Smriti Patwardhan and Ms. Simran Dang for the cosplay.

 

The celebrations began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and the felicitation of the Chief Guest and the judges. It was followed by an address by the Head of the School, Ms. Anjali Kharbanda and an eloquent speech by the Chief Guest, Mr. Divik Ramesh. A live portrait of the Chief Guest was prepared by Ruhan, a student of Class 9. There was a display of the video report prepared by the school Media team, which painted a detailed picture of the inter house and inter class events held in the school followed by the initiation of the competition. Every student gave an enthralling and engaging performance showcasing different aspects of literary and artistic aptitude. There was a mesmerizingly intense dance performance presented by the students, which took a page from mythology and highlighted the story of Ardhanareeshwara. The performance was followed by a musical fusion of celestial, classical and contemporary elements, which was met by rousing applause.

 

The event culminated with the much-awaited prized distribution ceremony, where our school managing committee member Shri Dinesh Kumar Gupta and the Director and Founder Principal Dr. Rajee N Kumar appreciated the participants. The festivities of art and literature inculcated a rich knowledge about their importance to the students and the relentless efforts of the staff and students were lauded with the sheer success of the day.
